Tet Rally Latvia service park next to Liepāja Northern breakwater
The service park for the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) Latvian round, Tet Rally Latvia, will be located right next to the Baltic Sea in Liepāja, in the area near the Liepāja Northern Breakwater. The service park will be situated at Atmodas Boulevard 14, covering a total area of 70 000 square meters. Spectators will have the opportunity not only to watch the teams’ mechanics at work but also to enjoy the rally in a specially created fan zone.
The rally service park in Liepāja has found a new home for the FIA World Rally Championship, moving this year to the spacious area near the Northern Breakwater. During the preparation period, the area has been improved, including the replacement of its surface. The service park will not only host the teams' motorhomes and tents, but also feature a rally headquarters, media centre, and fan zone, all specially adapted using Ramirent containers. Additionally, a screen will be set up in the fan zone to broadcast live streams of all the stages.
The FIA World Rally Championship crews can be already found at the service park early Thursday morning while they will be getting ready for the shakedown stage in the Dienvidkurzeme region. In the afternoon, they will head to Rīga for the opening ceremony and the first stages. On Friday, July 19, the stages will take place in the Tukums region, Talsi, and Talsi region with the crews returning to the service park on Friday evening at 20.20. On Saturday, July 20, there are two scheduled visits to the service park – the first at 14.30 and the second at 20.55. Fans who rise early will also have the chance to see their favourite drivers off to the day's first stage on Saturday from 7.00 and on Sunday from 8.10, as the cars will be heading to the final stages of Tet Rally Latvia.
While the cars are in the service park with their mechanics, spectators will have the opportunity to meet rally leaders and hear comments from team principals about the day's experiences. These Meet the Crews sessions will take place in the fan zone of the service park, with the first session on Friday evening around 20.40 and the second session on Saturday around 21.15.
In the service park, a special fan zone will be set up for spectators, featuring a large screen that will broadcast all Tet Rally Latvia stages live. The fan zone will also offer food and beverages, as well as various rally souvenirs. This makes the fan zone a place where, for four days from July 18 to 21, rally fans can follow the progress of WRC competitors in an atmosphere like never before.
