Tet Rally Latvia launches e-sports tournament
In anticipation of the FIA World Rally Championship's Latvian stage, Tet Rally Latvia, a new e-sports activity is being introduced today – the X3000 LV Virtual Rally Challenge. Registration and participant applications for the tournament have also begun on the website www.x3000play.com. Throughout June, a preliminary races will take place in three stages, to determine four fastest among all rally and digital sports enthusiasts. On July 11th, these four finalists will compete in the Grand Finale of the X3000 Rally Challenge at a special Tet Rally Latvia event in Riga. They will compete for a unique grand prize provided by Tet Rally Latvia and X3000 – a ride in a Sports Racing Technologies rally car on the first special stage of the WRC Latvian rally at the Biķernieki track.
The X3000 Virtual Rally Challenge will feature a preliminary round, taking place in three stages – from June 1st to June 30th, with each round lasting ten days. First, participants will virtually compete on the Estonian stages (June 1-10), then on the Finnish stages (June 11-20), while the deciding round will be held on the Swedish stages (June 21-30). Total overall time over these three stages will decide the Finalists. To make the already challenging X3000 Rally Challenge truly demanding and exciting, and to determine the fastest e-sports driver, the preliminary rounds will be conducted with the highest difficulty level, known as Hardcore Damage.
Participants in the X3000 Rally Challenge must be at least 18 years old and have access to the EA SPORTS developed FIA World Rally Championship game WRC on one of three gaming platforms: PlayStation, Xbox, EA Play or Steam.
