Tet Rally Latvia crews will do a parade drive trough Kuldīga

Three special stages of the FIA World Rally Championship's Latvian round, Tet Rally Latvia, are set to take place in the Kuldīga region, however, WRC activities in Kuldīga will not end there. Throughout all four days, a fan zone will be active in Kuldīga Town Hall Square. Moreover, on the evening of Friday, July 19, all rally crews, traveling from Talsi to Liepāja, will drive-through Kuldīga for a parade, crossing the Kuldīga brick bridge and through the old town, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, including Liepājas Street. It is expected that the first rally crew will arrive in Kuldīga around 18:20, with the competitors’ drive lasting approximately 90 minutes.

After Friday's seven stages, which will conclude with a stage in Talsi, the rally participants will head to the service park in Liepāja. Along the way, a special activity is planned in Kuldīga, giving residents and visitors of the city the opportunity to see the rally cars up close in the city.

The drivers will enter the city from the Talsi side, moving along Stendes Street towards the Venta River. Crossing the Venta via the historic brick bridge, the crews will continue along Baznīcas Street and then along Liepājas Street, driving through Kuldīga's old town, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. The cars will then proceed along Kalpaka Street, reaching City Square via Smilšu Street. After circling the square, they will head towards Liepāja, to return the next morning for the stages taking place in the Kuldīga region – SS9 Pilskalns, SS10 Snēpele, and SS11 Īvande.

On Saturday, after completing the first two stages, all crews will return to Kuldīga City Square, where a media and regroup is planned – a place where rally enthusiasts can meet the FIA World Rally Championship crews in person and see their cars.

We remind Kuldīga residents and visitors who will not be able to attend the stages that a special opportunity has been arranged – a large screen will be set up in the Town Hall Square for four days, from July 18 to 21, along with a special fan zone where it will be possible watch live broadcasts of all Tet Rally Latvia stages.
