How to travel to Tet Rally Latvia

Getting to Tet Rally Latvia is convenient with multiple travel options available. It is possible to reach Liepāja by car, plane, ferry, bus or train. Detailed information can be found below.

By plane:

The national airline, airBaltic, operates flights to more than 70 destinations, and during Tet Rally Latvia, airBaltic will provide direct pop-up flights to Liepāja, with flights taking approximately 40 minutes – and passengers arriving right at our rally city!

By car:

Liepāja can be reached from all directions – Rīga (220km), Ventspils (120km), Klaipėda, Lithuania (100km).

By ferry:

The ferry operator Stena Line offers six ferry trips per week on the route Liepāja – Travemünde (Germany), providing travel in comfortable cabins with or without a car. Average travel time is 20 to 27 hours.

Additionally, from Scandinavia, the Stena Line ferry runs daily from Nynäshamn (Sweden) to Ventspils (Latvia) with a travel time of approximately 8.5 hours.

By bus:

Regular buses by Lux Express run to Liepāja from cities in Latvia – Rīga, Ventspils, Kuldīga, as well as Palanga and Klaipėda in Lithuania. Most buses offer free wireless internet.

On the Rīga – Liepāja route, buses run at least 20 times a day, with intervals between departures ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours. The travel time is 3 – 3.5 hours.

On the Ventspils – Liepāja route, buses run an average of 6 times a day, with intervals between departures ranging from 1 to 4 hours. The travel time is 1.5 – 2 hours.

On the Kuldīga – Liepāja route, buses run an average of 7 times a day, with intervals between departures ranging from 1 to 4 hours. The travel time is 1.5 hours.

On the Talsi – Liepāja route, buses run an average of 3 times a day, with intervals between departures ranging from 1 to 4 hours. The travel time is 3 hours.

By train:

A passenger train operated by Vivi runs daily between Rīga and Liepāja.

Rīga – Liepāja:

Monday to Saturday – 18:34

Sunday – 14:04 and 18:34

Liepāja – Rīga:

Sunday – 05:02 and 18:38
