Always remember – safety comes first
The FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) season continues this weekend with the historic first round in Latvia, Tet Rally Latvia. However, for rally spectators to fully enjoy the highest-level rally competition, we kindly ask everyone to respect all safety regulations!
During the Shakedown stage, the Rally Control centre received information about spectators who did not follow safety rules, endangering both the athletes’ safety and their own. Tet Rally Latvia organizers urge everyone to adhere to all safety rules to ensure the WRC debut round in Latvia can proceed without incidents and without the need to cancel any stages. Every spectator should remember these four important spectator rules:
1. Enjoy the rally from the safety of allowed spectators’ areas only!
2. No tape, no public!
3. Make sure you are in place 30 minutes before the stage start. It is forbidden to walk on the road after that time!
4. “No-Go” is “No-Go” for everyone!
Please, do not be reckless and do not be the person that gets a stage cancelled – always follow all safety rules and listen to instructions of the stage marshals and other official personnel!
